Fernando Ramirez
Presidential Candidate/Former U.S. Senator/ Graduated from John Jay and Baruch CUNY
Before Fernando Ramirez became a U.S.
Senator, he was someone who could see things others ignored. Like schools in trouble, families with no health care, and environmental problems. Growing up in New York City, he didn't just see those things; he felt a responsibility to do something about them. He connected with people and listened to their stories, which allowed him to get very involved in his community at a young age.
After graduating from John Jay College with a degree in criminal justice, Fernando came to believe that action was necessary for change, not just ideas. He then attended Baruch College, where he studied community impact and public service, gaining experience by working with communities that had the same challenges that interested him.
Jasmin Almonte
Running Mate/ Real estate, californian, wants to help the community/people
Jasmin was a California real estate professional and, through her work, she learned just how challenging rising home prices made it for many families to purchase a home. Those families who were struggling to pay for a home were also experiencing difficulties finding educational opportunities or receiving healthcare. Because of this realization, Jasmin knew that these challenges were connected; this knowledge encouraged her to want to create an even greater impact.
As she grew her career, Jasmin began concentrating on housing developments that were more affordable, but also as a community housing provider. She has developed a track record of gaining the trust and respect of many different parties due to her excellent
communication skills and collaborative working style.
